ABOUT
Hi, I'm Katja
My work and life revolve around unlearning, creative expression, being true to oneself, peeling the layers of what we see, finding connections, devotion to truth, storytelling, and continuous exploration of our inner and outer world.
I am endlessly fascinated by finding new ways to look at things, especially ones that bring a sense of ease, lightness, and joy.
I love to write, analyse, and explore.
And I help others feel lighter, clearer, and more themselves along the way.
MY STORY
Looking back at my life, I realized it has always followed one pattern:
The more I tried to force myself to be something I wasn't or something I thought I "should" be, the more frustrated I became.
And the more I let myself release any need or pressure to do things or to prove something, the more I allowed myself to just play and follow my own curiosity, the more excited and like myself I felt.
Some turning points that shaped me:
- thriving the first year at the Academy for Theatre, only to soon completely burn out and not write for 10 years afterwards
- realising it is imperative for me to be creative and committing to rekindle my own sense of play and creativity
- accepting that I don't belong in rigid systems, I belong in spaces of expression, intuition, curiosity, and connection
- having tons of "seeing through the illusion" moments with regard to politics and society
- tons of situations when a person I thought would magically help or change me, didn't - making me realise I was counting on others to tell me what I already knew deep inside, I was just afraid to say it
And so many more - we get more into details about turning points like these in my newsletter. So if you're interested, check it out:
